Why can't people figure out how to shed tears from one eye only

this unfortunate inability to fine-tune control over each eye to get them to work separately makes things difficult and potentially embarrassing.

it's just kinda pathetic to have to tell your family that "soap got in" BOTH your eyes when you emerge from the shower with abnormal eyes and expect them to suck up the lie.

now, if we were able to harness the useful skill of shedding tears from one eye only, no one would be able to call the bluff on you when you use the soap story. of course, some may say that it's clearly easier to learn how to NOT have to tear for prolonged periods to begin with (understandably, tearing from both eyes because of yawning is excusable as it does not cause puffiness/bloodshotness and the like); unluckily, this option sometimes just not exist--depending on the particular person and situation involved--so it's always safer to know how to confine the damage to a single eye.

aside, i was honestly lamenting this human shortcoming whilst crying in the shower. yeah, i grant you permission to label me a psycho, thinking about such things whilst simultaneously bawling my eyes out. i'm alright now, though. (think so.) usually i get myself to stop crying by #1 trying to get myself to face the fact that crying solves nothing and makes one feel lousy/helpless #2 reminding myself that crying largely serves to make one look ugly afterwards, and compared to the feelings of release one is supposed to experience during a "cathartic" session of weeping, the subsequent discomfort of swollen peepers and extra effort required to look self-possessed/anything near normal the next morning, is generally not worth it.

oddly i find typing such ridiculous posts highly therapeutic and effective in dissipating emotional distress. perhaps it's due to having to intentionally generate nonsensical statements to support outlandish ideas and phrasing them in a more or less neutral tone. in any case i am nodding off to sleep hence shall end here for tonight. have a great week ahead friends!
